How are they different from falsies strip lashes?
Our Cherise Lashes use a super lightweight lash band that is much lighter than a strip lash. They are applied underneath your natural lashes, so creates a more seamless look. You can wear our lashes as daily wear or keep them on for 5+ days. They are also much easier to apply than strip lashes, so definitely beginner-friendly!
Should I carry out a patch test?
Yes, it’s very important to perform a patch test before application. Whilst we do take every precaution to ensure our products are non-toxic & suitable for even sensitive eyes, they may not suit every skin type.
Apply a small amount of bond behind your ear (lower section) & wait 24 hours to see if any irritation occurs.
If irritation occurs, rinse the area immediately with warm water for a few minutes and discontinue use of the product straight away. If irritation persists, please seek medical advise.
I’ve had a reaction to your product! What do I do?
Cherise Lashes disclaims any liability for skin reactions; we recommend patch testing each product before usage and make this recommendation on each of our product pages.
After a patch test, if irritation develops, please stop using the product and rinse the area with warm water. If inflammation continues, please seek medical advice.
Are they uncomfortable to wear?
No not at all! If you applied the lashes properly, they should be so comfortable that you will forget that you’re wearing lashes. If you can feel the lashes, this means that they are not positioned correctly and you need to remove & re-position. You might have placed the lashes too close to your waterline. Try to reposition them few mm above your waterline.
Can I wear them to shower or when I wash my face?
Yes you can! Our Cherise Lashes are water-resistant, meaning it can take a few splashes of water but we don’t recommend getting the lashes soaked. Also, try to avoid getting them wet for the first 24 hours. If applied correctly, our lashes are usually fine in water. If you get them wet, avoid touching them, let them air dry. Then reapply some seal and re-clamp to secure the hold.
When washing your face, just like when you have salon lash extensions on, you can still wash around the eye area, just use a cotton bud to get into the hard to reach areas. If you have any makeup residue on the lashes you can use a cotton bud with water on to gently remove any makeup residue.
Avoid using any oil based products around your eye as this will break down the bond.
When I removed the lashes, I noticed my own lashes falling out
Don’t panic! Your natural lashes shred daily. Our lashes have a life cycle of 60-90 days. Each individual lash has their own timeline to fall out.
I have trouble applying. They just won’t stick!
Our bond is a sticky glue that will remain tacky until sealant has been applied. If you’re struggling to get the lashes to stick, make sure your lash applicator is free from any bond residue. Try to hold onto the tip of the lashes instead of the middle or bottom. If you still struggle, please contact us – you will have our full support to ensure you can apply them easily.
Can I reuse the lashes?
YES! Don’t throw away the lashes because they are reusable! With care, our Cherise Lashes can be reused many times. You will need to clean them between uses & if you have previously removed them with our removal oil you need to ensure they are completely free of the remover oil before reapplying. To clean the lashes, brush our remover over them to remove bond residue then rinse them with warm water and let them air dry. You can also run a spoolie on the lashes as they dry to maintain its shape.
I can’t get the lashes to last more than a day
If this is your first time applying our lashes, give yourself some time. Over time, you will get more comfortable and confident with placing the lashes to last you 5-7days. With the correct application and aftercare, your lashes will last 5+ days.
Tips to help your lashes last
– After application, avoid getting the lashes wet/excessive heat/excessive sweat for the first 24 hours. This gives them a chance to dry naturally.
– Avoid touching the lashes, natural oils from our fingertips will transfer onto the lashes and make them not last as long if you are touching or pulling on the segments.
– Avoid sleeping on your face, if your a face sleeper they may not last you as long due to strain pushing down the lashes, and rough wear and tear whilst sleeping. You may need to reapply the lash segments daily, do this by applying more bond, seal and repeat application steps.
– Avoid any oily products around the eye area.
– Double bond – apply bond to the base of your lash line and to the spine of the lash segment. With the bond, don’t apply too much on your lashes as your lashes can get clumpy.
– Double seal – apply sealant to the base of your lashes, then rub along in between the lash applicator and clamp onto lashes again.
– Try to apply your lashes in the morning.
